Stewarding and borrowing a season ticket
I'm likely to be going to a few games in March - but borrowing a season ticket.

What's the standard of stewarding now? e.g. once you're in the stadium do they check? I've seen a few belligerent/jobsworth stewards giving some a hard time as they've tried to make their way to their seats.

I believe there are lights above the turnstiles that the stewards look out for punters coming in on oap and child tickets

Can't you pay for a normal ticket with all your paypal loot?

As long as the person that triggers the 'concession' light is at either end of the age range you'll be fine.

Don’t worry, they are all as thick as shit,I’ve been getting in on a kids ticket for the past 2 seasons, they are only rent-a-stewards,they won’t get paid any extra for checking shit like names on tickets, they just want you to go in and sit down somewhere.

Pagey's right. Dress him up for a week either side of the game as well, just to be sure.

You’ll have to dress your son up as a girl to reflect that it’s a female season ticket.

It won’t have a lasting negative impact on his life.

Cheers all. Should probably have been more specific. I’m fine getting in on someone else’s ticket, but I’ll also be borrowing one for my son - but that ticket belongs to my mates daughter, which was my main concern.

Sounds like it’ll be fine - just mild paranoia!

I presumed he fancies sitting where he likes rather than where his ticket allows. There are generally a lot of empty seats up for grabs

They check the lower tier but are easily outwitted

check what exactly? if you've got the season ticket what else would they be checking for and why would you care?
